Take a step into the future with Qatar’s first-of-its-kind Pay by Plate, the smarter, more convenient way to pay at fuel stations!
What is Pay by Plate?
Pay by Plate is a completely contactless, frictionless, and hands-free payment solution at fuel stations, exclusive to Commercial Bank cardholders! Using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), your license plate is scanned, and the payment is automatically processed.
How does it work?
- Drive up to the fuel station as usual.
- The camera recognises the registered plate number and signals the fuel dispenser to proceed with refuelling.
- Once refuelling is complete, the fuel amount is automatically debited from your preferred registered payment method.
- You will then receive a payment confirmation.
How to register for Pay by Plate?
- Log in to your account on the CBQ Mobile App.
- Go to the 'Pay by Plate' page under the 'Card Services' section.
- Register and add your vehicle details, review, and submit.
- Authenticate via One-Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS.
- Get confirmation that your vehicle registration was a success.
Please note that this feature is currently available exclusively at West Bay Petrol Station and will be extended to additional locations in the future.
